Hi, I’m Meagan Fisher. Here I keep my portfolio, writing, and notes. See my recent thoughts and work on twitter and dribbble.

Owltastic things I must have immediately

In the spirit of the new site, I thought I’d share some of my top owly finds with you lovely people. If you find any owltastic merchandise, art, etc. in the course of your internet searching, I’d love it if you posted it on Twitter with the hashtag #owltastic. I’ll probably post it on here, along with a credit and a virtual hug.

I don’t drink, but if I did you can bet your sweet ass I’d be wasted off Hitachino Nest Beer right now. I might have to pick some up at Whole Foods just to stare at it. Look at that adorable red owl! Thanks to the talented Tyler Thompson for tweeting this my way.

Vintage Childrens Book – Owl at Home

Hitachino Nest Beer

I was just going to post this book and talk about how cute it is, but I accidentally bought it. Which is risky, because my boyfriend has warned me that the eco-system of our apartment has become infested with owls, and that if any more show up they’re going to drive him out. Maybe I can hide it under my mattress and stare at the adorable illustrations in secret. I may have a problem.

Hideous Owl T-Shirts

Hideous Owl Shirts

These are so awful that I feel like I have to have them. Maybe even make a quilt out of them. Tie dye + brown + owl collage = YES, PLEASE.

While I would be nervous about wearing this T-shirt around children who can read, I still love it for many reasons. It celebrates the fact that in many cultures owls are believed to be harbingers of death, which my inner 14-year old goth loves. Also, the illustration is so painfully cute that you can almost forgive the terror-inducing message. Much gratitude to Mr. Social Scientific for sending this gem my way.
