Sticky Comics

I have a confession to make: I LOVE WEBCOMICS. I subscribe to about 400 RSS feeds; some of them about world news, others about important happenings in the design industry. But I always skip every intelligent, well-written article in my feed and go straight to Natalie Dee in the morning. I also never miss a Questionable Content comic. Eventually I get to the heavy stuff, but nothing starts my day out right like a cup of coffee and a good Toothpaste for Dinner. I’m writing today about my new all-time favorite webcomic ever, Sticky Comics.

Sticky Comics Volcano

I mean just look at this! It reminds me of a rather unfortunate moment I once had in a school library. Poor volcanos, they just have a buildup of uncomfortable pressure sometimes like everyone else.

*Cough*

Anyway, I think everyone should subscribe to Sticky Comics, and buy some awesomeness from the store (when it gets updated). You can also follow Sticky Comics on Twitter.

What are your favorite web comics? I’m always looking for more, so please please please comment with your recommendations.

If liking Dr. McNinja is wrong, then I don’t want to be okay actually there’s no way that liking that webcomic could be wrong so suck it haters.

(Be sure to start with the archive. That threw me initially.)

    Web comics are the best!

    I love Dinosaur Comics: http://www.qwantz.com

It’s one of the few that makes me laugh out loud on a regular basis. I’m also a fan of TPFD (and their other comics). Other good ones:

    http://xkcd.com
    http://www.asofterworld.com
    http://www.picturesforsadchildren.com
And I recently discovered the ridiculous http://buttersafe.com/

  3. On the subject of Natalie Dee and Toothpaste for Dinner, I oftentimes find Married to the Sea hilarious. If there’s one web comic that has me laughing out loud on a regular basis, though, it’s Dinosaur Comics.

400 RSS feeds? I get lost with my 20 or so.

My favorite web comics are probably old hat, but I adore Perry Bible Fellowship, xkcd, Cyanide & Happiness, and not quite a webcomic, but I love it all the same - Steal Our Ideas at http://stealourideas.tumblr.com.

It’s a bit geeky, but I love love LOVE Order of the Stick. It’s one of the few strips with an actual continuing plot.

I remember hearing about that moment on Twitter. I also remember the awkward Amazon recommendations I got after linking you to a certain book.

Nicely designed website, by the way. Love the effect with the Owl’s moving eyes. Have added you to the ‘links’ section on my site.

I always enjoy Bearskin Rug, and along the same lines The Superest. But I imagine you are already quite familiar with both?

YOu should definitely check out: Whale by Joseph Devens at http://www.whaleontheweb.com/

I love MegaTokyo. So much geek/gamer love. Also, it’s not around anymore, but just go read the archives if you need a really really good laugh-till-you-cry: Return to Sender. So good.

Just a heads-up, you might be able to find something you like at the NanoMangO community. Lots of good web comic artist come together every November to draw a page a day. I’ve found some really good comics that way.
