Bill Zelman’s Tiny Art Director

This is a brilliant idea; I think parents and designers alike can relate to the demanding, erratic nature of Bill Zelman’s boss. The principle behind Tiny Art Director is that Bill draws whatever his four-year old daughter, the art director in this case, briefs him on. He then presents her with a mockup, and notes her critiques and approval or rejection of the work on his blog. The results are hilarious.

Of the above image, the art director had this to say:

I’m sorry to say that you’re worser than me. You gotta learn to draw as me. You just don’t draw so well. Why do you think that is? It turns out that I’m the good draw-er. It turns out that you’re the art director.

I’ve had plenty of clients say essentially the same thing to me.
